• Current thinking about effective leadership
• The role and responsibilities of a Dean
• Understanding cultural capability and strengthening culturally responsive practices in others
• Building a toolkit of skills and strategies for being effective as a Dean
• Academic coaching/mentoring
• Organising effective Deaning systems and procedures
• Developing effective communication skills
• Managing student needs and behaviour including responding to pandemic-related issues
• Working with colleagues in key roles to avoid escalation of issues
• Engaging with parents, caregivers and whānau
• Deans role in high-end discipline

Workshop Time:

• Registration opens at 8:15 am
• Workshop starts promptly at 8:30 am and finishes at 3:00 pm
