We are seeking an exceptional and experienced educational leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Principal, starting term 1, 2026 or by negotiation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic and operational leadership of a large and dynamic school committed to excellence, equity, and continuous improvement. Situated in Browns Bay, Auckland, Northcross Intermediate currently caters for approximately 1500 year 7 and 8 students.
The successful applicant will be a values-driven leader who demonstrates integrity, professional courage, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships across our school community. They will bring strategic thinking, proven leadership capability and a deep understanding of effective pedagogy as well as an understanding of the ethos of middle schooling, recognising its unique focus on supporting young adolescents.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
- Using data and evidence to drive improvement and raise achievement.
- Managing complex organisational systems, including timetabling and events.
- Supporting staff professional growth and development.
- Contributing to strategic planning and school governance processes.
- Promoting a culture of inclusion, equity, and wellbeing for staff and students.
