Ahutoetoe School is a rapidly growing Year 0–6 primary school in Milldale, north of Auckland. Established in 2023 and now enjoying purpose-built facilities, our school offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced educational leader to build on strong foundations and guide our next chapter.

Our community values kindness, belonging and the ‘Ahu Way’. We seek an approachable and visible Principal who knows the students, listens to, and acknowledges parents/whānau and leads with integrity, empathy and courage.

Our next Principal will:

• Champion evidence-based teaching, high expectations and measurable progress, with strong foundations in literacy and mathematics.
• Ensure every learner is known, valued, supported and challenged, embracing diversity and additional learning needs.
• Honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi, strengthen cultural responsiveness and embed te reo Māori and tikanga.
• Nurture a collaborative staff culture built on trust, professional growth, wellbeing and shared leadership.
• Communicate openly and build genuine partnerships with whānau, mana whenua and the wider community.
• Combine strategic vision with sound financial, operational and property management as our roll grows.
• Value a broad curriculum, including sport, the arts, inquiry and education outside the classroom.

Our inclusive learning environment includes satellite campuses for Wairau Valley Special School and Northern Health School. You will join dedicated staff, engaged whānau and a supportive Board, with strong resources to advance learning and wellbeing.
