An exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant, culturally rich and community-focused South Auckland school.
Clendon Park School is seeking an inspirational, relational and future-focused Principal|Tumuaki to lead our diverse and welcoming full primary school in the heart of Manurewa.
Our school is proud to sit at the centre of a strong and connected community where every learner is known, valued and encouraged to succeed. Our cultural diversity is one of our greatest strengths, with strong Māori and Pacific communities alongside whānau from many cultural backgrounds.
Central to our school are Te Whānau Āwhina, our Māori bilingual unit, and Tautua mo Tupulaga, our Samoan bilingual unit. These provide rich opportunities for learners to strengthen their identity, language and culture and ensure that te ao Māori and Pacific languages, values and traditions are visible and celebrated throughout our school.
Relationships are at the heart of Clendon Park School. We value a leader who will be highly visible and approachable, build strong partnerships with students, staff and whānau, and lead with integrity, fairness, warmth and high expectations.
We are committed to excellent teaching and learning, student and staff wellbeing and providing opportunities for every student to flourish academically, socially, culturally and emotionally. Our students enjoy an extensive range of leadership, cultural, academic and sporting experiences, and the school has a proud reputation for sporting achievements.
Our next Principal|Tumuaki will embrace our community, celebrate our diversity, strengthen our bilingual pathways and inspire continued improvement in teaching, learning and achievement.
If you are an experienced educational leader who believes in excellence, belonging and opportunity for every student, we warmly invite your application.
We encourage you to visit the school. To arrange a suitable time, please contact the Board Staff Representative. (see page 6 of the Application Pack for details).
