Rosehill School is a highly regarded specialist school located in South Auckland, 2 minutes from the Southern Motorway. Employing approximately 260 staff, we cater for ākonga aged 5-21. In addition to our base school, we have 13 satellite sites and a transition unit.  We are seeking an experienced, values-led principal with the specialist knowledge, strategic capability and relational strengths to lead our community confidently into its next stage.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced senior leader with specialist education experience who understands the complexity of supporting learners with diverse and complex needs across multiple sites.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• deep knowledge of specialist education, individualised learning, neuro-affirming practice and integrated therapeutic support
• successful senior leadership of teaching, learning, people and organisational improvement
• the ability to establish a clear educational vision and make sound, timely and evidence-informed decisions
• strength in developing staff capability, supporting wellbeing and building effective multidisciplinary teams
• clear, open and responsive communication, supported by genuine listening and consistent follow-through
• commitment to meaningful partnerships with parents, whānau and the wider community
• culturally responsive leadership that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi and strengthens identity, inclusion and belonging
• integrity and transparency, including the courage to address complex matters constructively.
