St Mary's School, Northcote is a thriving Year 0–6 Catholic state-integrated primary school with a proud history of nurturing children through faith, learning and service. Located on Auckland's North Shore, our school enjoys strong parish partnerships, a dedicated staff, engaged whānau and a growing, culturally diverse community. Guided by our vision to empower one another to learn, strengthen our faith and serve, we are committed to ensuring every child flourishes spiritually, academically and personally.

Following the retirement of our long-serving Principal, we are seeking an exceptional educational leader who is an active and practising Catholic and who will lead our school with faith, courage and compassion.

Our next Principal will:

  • Live and lead our Catholic Special Character, strengthening the partnership between school, parish and home.
  • Champion excellence in teaching and learning, with a clear focus on student progress, achievement and wellbeing.
  • Develop and inspire others, building the capability of staff through collaborative, visible and relational leadership.
  • Lead strategically, confidently guiding curriculum innovation and continuous improvement while honouring the traditions and values of St Mary's.
  • Build authentic relationships, creating a culture where students, staff, whānau and parish feel connected, valued and inspired.
  • Work in partnership with the Board, ensuring the school continues to flourish for future generations.
