Tēnā koe. Are you a leader who leads with integrity and holds a deep commitment to te ao Māori?
Tikipunga Primary School is a kura situated at the heart of its community in Whangārei. We are a school where every learner is valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed as themselves, bringing with them rich identities, languages, and experiences.
At our kura, relationships sit at the centre of everything we do. We work closely with our whānau and the wider community to ensure a strong sense of belonging for all. Our practice is deeply shaped by:
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with te reo Māori me ōna tikanga meaningfully embedded across the school.
- Culturally responsive practice that embraces our predominantly Māori community while respecting the diversity of all learners.
- An inclusive environment where staff, students, and whānau share responsibility for success.
- A focus on student wellbeing, recognising that engaged and confident learners are central to our mission.
We're Seeking
The Tikipunga Primary School Board is seeking a Principal who will continue to strengthen partnerships with whānau and our proud, supportive community. You will lead a kura with strong foundations and a clear sense of identity, ensuring every learner is supported to reach their full potential.
If you are a visionary leader who values connection, growth, and the success of tamariki, we invite you to apply.
