About Nicky
Nicky Knight is a highly regarded education consultant and the founding Director of The Education Group (established 2005). With a strong background in primary education, she designs professional learning for Boards, leaders and teachers across state, integrated and private schools (primary through secondary).
In addition to leading The Education Group, Nicky is the Director of Growth Coaching New Zealand. In partnership with Growth Coaching International (Sydney) and the International Coaching Group (led by Jim Knight), she oversees and facilitates coaching workshops across the country. She holds Senior Practitioner status with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
Nicky earned her Doctor of Education from The University of Auckland, researching sustainable improvement in mathematics teaching. Her extensive background includes roles as a researcher at Massey University, an advisor with Auckland Education Advisory Services, a lecturer at The University of Auckland and a contractor for MultiServe Education Trust. In 1993, she received the Jim Campbell Award for Teaching Excellence in Mathematics.
