COACHING PATHWAYS
Coaching is at the heart of how we work with our clients. It is a solutions focused, strengths based approach to support our clients to set and achieve goals. We work in partnership with Growth Coaching International, the leading global provider of coaching training in education, delivering a wide range of coaching programmes from introductory to advanced level. Coaching can enhance learning conversations and raise the awareness of the coachee to take personal responsibility for their actions. Coaching can be an integral part of school’s Professional Growth Cycles and their school culture.
Schools we work with use coaching to improve the capacity of their leaders; improve the quality of conversations across the board; strengthen their PLD and professional growth cycle processes; achieve shifts in classroom teaching practice; set up students coaching students. An intermediate school we work closely with, coaches each and every student to be a coach!
Coaching is a lifelong skill and can be applied in so many areas of personal, professional and school life.

The Education Group is the exclusive licensed provider of Growth Coaching International courses and services in New Zealand.
A formal collaborative partnership between Growth Coaching International (GCI) and The Education Group (TEG) has been operating successfully as Growth Coaching New Zealand (GCNZ) since 2013. The Education Group Directors are active members of the GCI Strategic Leadership Team and TEG personnel contribute to the ongoing development of GCI programmes and services. Our partnership agreement ensures that New Zealand educators can access GCI’s world-leading courses, coaching and consultancy services delivered by consultants who align with our shared values and are committed to our purpose.
In partnership with Growth Coaching International, Growth Coaching New Zealand (GCNZ) strives to improve the quality of conversations in school communities – leaders with teachers; teachers with teachers; leaders and teachers with parents and everyone with students, so that principals lead well, teachers teach well, parents and community contribute well and students learn well.
We believe that coaching provides a vehicle to achieve this and that coaching, skillfully deployed, is a cornerstone of school improvement.
GCNZ has been providing coaching services to New Zealand educational leaders since 2010 with over 500 school leaders, system leaders and teachers participating in GCNZ programmes across New Zealand in the last twelve months alone.
GCNZ coaching and coach training programmes are offered across all ‘portals’ of the Global Framework for Coaching in Education including public and in-house programmes designed to enhance:

- Teaching Practice
- Student Success and Wellbeing
